The practice was set up in 2002 and has offices in Chippenham, Swindon, Devizes, Newbury and Woking.

Andrew Eustace ACA ATII

Andrew has been in practice for twenty five years. Prior to setting up Silbury, he was a tax manager and then a tax partner with two top twenty firms. In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Andrew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax.

As well as being the head of tax policy and compliance for Silbury, Andrew is an expert in share schemes, tax advice on business sales and disposals and advises many ex-patriot British citizens. Andrew looks for opportunities, caused by changes in businesses, to implement innovative tax planning.

Christopher Baylis ACA

Christopher worked as a buyer in retail before training as a Chartered Accountant with a top twenty firm. He worked at top twenty firms, becoming a partner, before leaving to set up Silbury. Christopher has been in practice for eighteen years.

Christopher sets Audit policy for all of the offices and also reviews audit files of other independent firms of chartered accountants.

Christopher has a wealth of experience in buying and selling businesses, business valuations and tax planning for owner managed businesses. Christopher looks to work closely with his clients to maximise their businesses potential. 

James Aughterson LLB ACA CTA

James has spent the last ten years advising businesses and their owners on most aspects of business tax, particularly in relation to business assets and personal tax.  He has worked for big four accounting firms as well as City tax specialists.  James has been in practice for nineteen years.

James’ broad tax experience includes advising UK subsidiaries of foreign owned entities, based in such countries as; USA, Germany, France, Bermuda, Australia, Jersey and Ireland on UK tax planning and compliance. 

James also is an expert in transfer pricing and has extensive experience of UK transfer pricing rules.

Nick Maughan FCA

Nick has been in practice since 1985. He set up his own practice in Newbury in 1992. Nick has been a Chartered Accountant since 1989.

Nick is an expert in business advice to owner managed businesses. Nick has a broad portfolio of clients based in and around Newbury, to which he provides focused tax and business advice.
